What is experience-based learning? PDF Print E-mail
Simply put, it is learning by doing, where people can see how their actions directly affect the result of a task. They can then be encouraged to identify the changes needed to improve their performance.

BBL works with businesses to design an outdoor (link page 5) or indoor (link page 6) programme that uses experience-based learning to suit their training needs. The location of the programme depends on your specific requirements.

People only remember about 20% of what they are told. Actual experiences create much more of an impact. Experience-based learning changes our understanding and helps us to change our actions.

BBL’s programmes (link page 1) focus on how an individual can make a big impact on the success of a team, project or organisation and gives people the chance to reflect on how their contribution affects others around them and the bottom line.

Our programmes bring abstract concepts like ‘ownership’ and ‘communication’ to life and our skilled facilitators engage individuals, keeping the programmes dynamic and to the point. They ensure that individuals understand the relevance of their learning and how they can transfer their new knowledge to the workplace.
